Petroleum Jelly

Petroleum jelly, also known as petrolatum, has been a household staple for over a century due to its numerous uses. Petrolatum is a partially solid, gel-like substance made from a mixture of natural mineral oils and waxes. This thick oil was discovered blocking up the machines and equipment on oil drilling sites in 1859, and this was the first time it was encountered. Later, it was refined into petrolatum.

Petrolatum Jelly Applications

Because it is an excellent moisture retainer agent, petroleum jelly is frequently used in moisturizers.
