Bitumen Penetration Grade 40-60

Geflow Bitumen Penetration 40/60 with semi-hardness commonly used in street paving. Also, this type of bitumen is suitable for road construction. It is usually used in in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Bitumen 40/60 is often used as raw material for other grades of bitumens.

Softening point and Bitumen Penetration 40-60

We obtain this type of bitumen by passing the hot air through vacuum bottom.  Also it is made from remain of crude oil after cracking and removing hydrocarbon. Penetration grade bitumen 40/60 has penetration between 40~60 desi-millimeter. And it’s softening point between 48 ~ 56C.  Bitumen 40-60, like synthetic resin, has thermoplastic properties which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. This grade of bitumen 40-60has very strong viscosity compare to other grades.
